HOLDFAST
A house in the country.
A few artists, a few months, nothing around.
The house holds the time ; the rest is up to whoever is there.
Built in materials that take years to come into themselves;
patinated copper from the dinandiers of Normandy,
worked and beaten since the 12th century,
the kind that gets better the more it is used.
No programme. No doctrine.
The kind of place that does the work without being asked,
the way a good house in the countryside always has.

Kitchen and table in patinated copper.
A single plane, made to be used hard and last long.
The room that belongs to whoever has cooked in it.
THE ROOMS
A few, each different.
You pick yours on arrival, depending on where you are.
Some open wide onto the trees. Others turn inward.
